Freecell3D is a solitaire card game. It has exactly the same rules that apply to the FreeCell game found in Windows.
The 3D display and graphics are pleasant to the eyes. By default, the visual quality is set to medium. If you bring up all the settings to maximum quality, the game will look and feel almost real. The sound effects and animations also add to that feeling. A few more tricks that can increase the realism of the game are making the cards look old, adjusting the “Card Tidiness” to the “Untidy” setting (which will place them in a more disorganized manner on the table) or selecting the spotlight lighting (this gives a more intimate feel to the game, especially at night).
If you don’t like how the table or cards look, you can download and install additional ones from the developer’s site.
One thing that can irritate is the time you have to wait until the cards are dealt. It may look nice the first couple of times but after a while it gets boring to watch the same animation and wait until it finishes. Fortunately, this may be the only thing you won’t like about this application.
